Linger, an upscale restaurant in Denver’s hottest neighborhood, is a delicious journey around the world. As the sister restaurant to Root Down, another Highland’s favorite, Linger offers global street food served tapas style. Most everything on the menu succeeds, but the Sesame BBQ tacos and the Wagyu Burger Sliders are standout favorites. Housed in the former Olinger Mortuary building, expect fantastic views of the Denver city skyline, a hip ambience, and a large crowd every day they are open for dinner (Tuesday-Saturday). Don’t miss the good values at happy hour Tuesday-Friday (4:00-6:30 pm) where you can sample their excellent mixed drinks (try the Mojito!) and tasty snacks at reduced prices. Last but not least, head to the roof for the spectacular patio where the only thing better than the views might be the beautiful people! Be warned, the rooftop patio and bar area are packed within 30 minutes of opening, and it might take weeks to secure a reservation in the dining room.
